📣We have exciting updates to share about the next #HudsonStreetStoop exhibit, available August 2023 – Fall 2025.
🔴 HSS Artists, Katherine Chin (@_katherinechin) & Park MacDowell (@pmacdowell) share updates on the fabrication process and reveal rendering of Dancing Dragon. We look forward to welcoming you ALL to its opening in August 2023.
🐉About the design: Dancing Dragon is a steel pavilion with meandering canopy structure providing seating, shade, and the armature for community activity. It is inspired by traditional Chinese dragon dance with exuberant geometry above and joyful gathering below.
➡️ Dancing Dragon was selected after community Visioning Sessions with residents & community members and final selection by the HSS Committee.
➡️ HSS 23-25 is funded in part by Healthy Places by Design and their partners John Hancock, AARP Massachusetts, UMass Boston, as well as Beyond Walls (@beyondwallslynn).
🔴 Fabrication space provided by Payette (@payettepeople). Funding and volunteers to support fabrication of custom swings provided by Utile (@utile_design) and Perkins+Will (@perkinswill_bos)
