The Demakes Family YMCA welcomes additional new cheerful monsters for 2021 from Venezeluan artist Golden305 to its playful gang of characters. In 2020, Golden transformed the cold, gray walls of the Y’s playground with a 4,800 square foot mural, and in 2021, he extended the artwork 140 feet to the Blossom Street underpass. The mural transforms the YMCA’s parking lot entrance, welcoming youth, parents and visitors into the vibrant community space. Golden unites unicorns, racoons, mushrooms and piñatas in his salute to the YMCA, as always, sharing his message of LOVE for the City of Lynn.
