“Chrome Cobito” by Bikismo
Representing the Caribbean where the artist is from, he playfully painted a shell on the shell of Pinanski Hall, while innovating with “reflective” surfaces, light and dimension. Bikismo’s concept responds to UMass Lowell’s North Campus as home to the university’s Kennedy College of Sciences, using an animal motif that reflects sustainable growth and problem solving through the reuse of other animals’ shells.
