LA-based artist Mr B Baby’s work is a fusion of Mexican folk art and children’s books which are heavily influenced by her culture, having being raised Mexican-Puertorican, and her experiences with battling depression and anxiety from a young age. Inspired by the Mexican tradition of “papel picado”, this piece is a celebration of collaboration, cultural tradition, and the many hands that shape community. Each butterfly in the mural was painted by a different member of her Classroom to the Streets cohort which included students and educators from Lynn Public Schools.
