Chrissy Lebel was born and raised in Peabody, Massachusetts. She graduated in 2004 from the Cosmetology Program at Peabody High School. She spent 5 years as a hair stylist and colorist, but felt her artistic abilities weren’t being used to their full potential. Making the move to go back to school, she enrolled at Butera School of Art in Boston. While studying in their Sign Art Program, she instantly fell in love with the craft of hand lettering and sign art.
After graduating from Butera, she worked and apprenticed at a number of shops. During this time, she learned to gold leaf, airbrush, and mastered these non-digital art forms as her passion. Inspired by her experience while apprenticing, and desiring independence and freedom as an artist and businesswoman, Chrissy opened Lebel Signs in 2015.
Chrissy’s detailed and unique craftsmanship and her reputation for excellent customer service is why she stands out against her competitors. Her client base appreciates the craftsmanship that goes into original, hand-made artwork.
