Speker

Speker is an Italian artist currently based in Los Angeles, California. He was raised between the cities of Pavia and Milan, where the vibrant graffiti scene of Milan played a pivotal role in shaping his artistic path. From an early age, Speker was captivated by the rebellious spirit of graffiti, which offered him a powerful means of self-expression in public spaces. Spray paint and urban landscapes quickly became his preferred tools and canvas.

As his skills and vision evolved, Speker began exploring other mediums such as acrylics and oils. While his practice has expanded, street art remains his primary focus, with most of his signature works created with spray paint on walls. Rooted in realism, his work often experiments with portraits and the human form, weaving in graphic elements that enrich both his canvas and mural pieces.

Speker has participated in numerous graffiti and street art festivals across Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Kosovo, and the United States. He holds a BFA in Illustration from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. His artistic mission is to capture the complexities of the human mind and celebrate the essence and individuality of each person he portrays.

Additional Artist Information

“My work for Classroom to the Streets reflects on how we use the resources and time we’re given. I wanted both pieces to be in conversation with each other, creating a visual dialogue that would invite viewers to pause and think. This was my first time painting two murals at one festival, and my first time completing large-scale works entirely with brushes. Working alongside students and teachers brought a unique energy to the process, and I’m grateful for how they contributed both ideas and hands-on help. For me, these murals are not just about the finished images — they are about the shared experience of making them together.”
