TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH:
If we take a look at all my work, in one of the conclusions that we could reach, it would be that most of them deal with our passage through life as human beings. And this mural is no exception. As a starting point, in the construction of this image, I present a transition that possibly joins point A to B. That is, I leave it to the imagination of the viewer that the main character walks in this process. You are born and you die.
My inspiration for this piece is the Woman and her moment in this historical conjuncture. In her just claim for her rights throughout history, in my opinion, this is one of the most momentous moments because a worldwide consensus has been achieved through the internet. The Woman has always shown us a way. We have ignored this path forever and like everything in life, everything is transformed. The woman chooses to walk on the chairs in the eternal search for a correct path.
The old chairs represent the new way, they are no longer used to sit and rest. There is no time, if not, to continue walking. And They are submerged in water to represent the complex path. Few options.
The Rooster on the far left is waiting or resting on the back of one of the chairs. As in all the pieces where he appears, he represents bravery and fights to the death. It is one of the symbologies that I use very frequently in my work. In a way, it represents the attitude and spirit of the main character.
In all my recent work, I show an important interest in being the director of the color palette that I am exercising. I play with the contrasts between warm and cold colors, turning the piece into a chromatic spectacle that can reflect my Caribbean identity. And as part of the composition, it has a line in different shades of blue in the shape of a spiral that travels from one end to the other, which digitally can be a brush stroke and that allows me to record the gestures of the movement of my hand.
